• Analysis and performance cookies. These cookies are used to collect and analyze the traffic and use of the site anonymously. These cookies, even without identifying the user, allow, for example, to detect if the same user returns to connect at different times. They also allow monitoring the system and improving its performances and usability. The deactivation of these cookies can be performed without any loss of functionality. Mons Pietatis website does not use this type of cookies.

They are parties of the visited page directly generated by the above-stated websites and integrated in the page of the host site. The most common use is that of the social plug-ins, aimed at sharing the contents on social networks (such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn). The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies to and from all sites operated by third parties. Management of information collected by "third parties" is regulated by the related information, to which please refer to. Third party cookies in the Mons Pietatis website are reported in detail, as well as links to both informations and how cookies are handled, through which the user can receive more information and request the deactivation of these cookies.
4. Cookies duration
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active until the browser is closed or the logout command is carried out. Other cookies remain even in future visits of the user. These cookies are called “persistent” and their duration is established by the server on the moment they are created. In some cases there’s an expire date, in others the duration is unlimited.
5. Cookies management
For instance, on Firefox, through the menu Tools -> Options -> Privacy, a control panel can be reached by which it is possible to define whether to accept the different types of cookies or proceed with their removal.
Internet Explorer: http://windows.microsoft.com/it-it/windows7/how-to-manage-cookies-in-internet-explorer-9
