The Historical Archive of the Monte di Pietà of Bologna will participate this year in the seventh edition of La Notte degli Archivi, the event organised as part of the Archivissima 2022 Festival, which aims to promote knowledge and appreciation of the archival heritage by involving numerous archives throughout Italy. The theme chosen this year is change, #change.
The Centro Studi sui Monti di Pietà e sul Credito Solidaristico with the support of the Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e di Ravenna will participate in this event with the video entitled Accompagnare il cambiamento. Il Monte di Pietà e Bologna, which will narrate not only the birth and evolution of an innovative institution such as the Monte di Pietà, but also its peculiar characteristic as an institution in constant change. The registers, account books and documents conserved in the Archive contain significant traces of this: the distribution of this video will allow this documentary richness to be highlighted and viewers to discover the history of the Mount of Piety, its customers and the close relations of this institution with the social structure of the city.
