History
The Monte was erected in 1594, thanks to public and private charity. In 1753, the administration was submitted by Duke Francesco III to the Opere Pie general administration. In the Napoleonic period, then, it passed under Congregazione di Carità. Once regained its autonomy, the Monte maintained it even after the unification. In 1953, it was absorbed by Monte di Reggio Emilia. ORG .: The institute was initially entrusted to two montisti.
