The International School of Doctoral Studies Sources for the History of European Economy (13th-17th centuries) will take place in L’Aquila, 9th to 13th October 2023, organised by the Dipartimento di Scienze Umane dell’Università degli Studi dell’Aquila, in collaboration with several Italian and foreign organisations.
The International School of Doctoral Studies aims to offer an opportunity to meet, reflect, and discuss sources and research methodologies in economic history, allowing teachers and young researchers to engage in the latest developments in historiography and to discuss about new approaches to the interpretation of sources, combining traditional tools of philological analysis with modern technological applications.
The first edition of the International School will explore commercial and financial networks and aspects related to the increasing complexity of trade organization from the Mediterranean to Northern Europe between the late Middle Ages and the early modern period.
