History
The Monte was erected with a bequest by Maddalena Biancoli dated 9 March 1602. The institution was administered by the local Congregazione di carità from 1808. In 1941, on 22 April, it was incorporated in the Monte di credito su pegno di Lugo, but had already ceased its activity since 1924.

Internal organization
The administration of the Monte was entrusted to two "conservatori", chosen among the members of the town council, one of whom administered deposits while the other worked as a cashier. Their work was directly controlled by the bishop.
