History
Attempts to found a Monte di Pietà in San Daniele date back to 1557, but the institute was not established before 1714, by resolution of Consiglio d'Arengo and with the approval of the patriarch of Aquileia, Dionisio Delfino. The appointments of the officials for the management of the Monte were divided between the patriarch and the Consiglio d'Arengo. In the Napoleonic period, the institute was placed under the administration of Congregazione di Carità. With the return of the Austrians in 1819, the Monte later regained its autonomous administration. In 1927, the institute was absorbed by Cassa di Risparmio di Udine

The Monte was initially entrusted to the management of nine conservators, appointed by Consiglio d'Arengo, a cashier and a farmer (later increased to three) chosen by the patriarch of Aquileia.
