History
The Monte was established in 1470, following the preaching of Observant Franciscan priest Gabriele da Jesi. Only three years later, however, the institute was forced to cease its activity due to a serious theft. The Comune tried to reconstitute Monte from the beginning of the sixteenth century, but this was not possible until the 1520 bequest from Sanseverinate noble Giovan Pietro Fattorini to Confraternita del Santo Sacramento. In 1861, the institute went under the administration of the local Congregazione di Carità, to which, in 1937, Ente Comunale di Assistenza (E.C.A.) took over. By Decreto Regio of December 5th, 1941, which followed the 1938 legislative provision regarding the Monti di Pietà, the institute was incorporated into Monte di credito su pegno di Macerata.
